Our Mission

ABOUT NET-ZERO WASHINGTON

Net-Zero Washington exists to inform, connect, and empower those working toward a cleaner future. We bridge the gap between knowledge and action — helping decision-makers understand the data, evaluate real-world solutions, and implement technologies that reduce energy usage, reduce emissions, and strengthen local economies.

Our goal is simple: to make Washington a model for practical, measurable progress toward net-zero energy.

Our Approach

DRIVING WASHINGTON'S NET-ZERO TRANSITION

At the heart of Net-Zero Washington is a belief that data, technology, and cross-team collaboration can solve complex challenges.

We focus on three core objectives:

  1. Educate — Deliver clear, actionable information about energy, emissions, and sustainability across Washington State.

  2. Collaborate — Bring together public agencies, private companies, and community organizations to share resources and expertise.

  3. Implement — Translate goals into projects, partnerships, and measurable outcomes that move the needle toward net-zero.

Our Network

A PLATFORM FOR PARTNERSHIP

Net-Zero Washington is more than an information hub — it’s a growing network of professionals, researchers, and innovators working across sectors to make clean energy accessible and affordable.

We support:

  • Businesses & school districts seeking energy and carbon reduction strategies

  • Local governments developing sustainability plans

  • Communities and educators creating public awareness

  • Technology partners advancing renewable energy solutions

Leadership & Roots

LEADERSHIP WITH PURPOSE

Net-Zero Washington was founded by Brian Burrow, PMP, an economist and renewable energy entrepreneur dedicated to helping communities transition to a cleaner future.

Through decades of experience in energy efficiency, waste-to-energy systems, and net-zero consulting, Brian recognized the need for more cross sector collaboration & industry support with launch points for innovative solutions to help Washington lead the way toward a net-zero future.

Net-Zero Washington builds upon that vision — connecting people, data, and technology to drive results across the public and private sectors.

Our Commitment

PROGRESS MEASURED BY RESULTS

We believe success is measured not by intentions but by outcomes.

That’s why every initiative we support — from small business energy audits to state-level renewable energy projects — is grounded in measurable performance, environmental integrity, and long-term value.
